Learning Resource Center

As part of the University’s effort to provide instruction using the latest internet technologies, the University has established a web-based Learning Resource Center. The center is a digital research library, created to provide students with the opportunity to make the most use of vast information resources available on the internet.

The American Innovation University library’s mission is to serve the informational needs of the student body as outlined in the American Library Association (ALA) standards and guidelines.

Learning Resource Center & Library

The Learning Resource Center is located in the library. The Learning Resource Center is equipped woith DELL Inspiron All-In-One PCs with internet access, and printers/copiers for the students to use on a first-come-first-serve basis.

As part of its effort to provide instruction using the latest internet technologies, the university has established a web-based Electronic Resource Center. The center is a digital research facility, created to provide students with the opportunity to make the most use of vast information resources available on the internet.

The university has an onsite library which contains publications in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering, and General Education. Faculty members and students can access major professional journals and scholarly articles through nationally acclaimed database such as ProQuest, ACM, and IEEE. To use AIU’s e-Library to access the onsite library catalog, the user will have to login with the Use ID/Password that was assigned and approved by the AIU librarian.

The university library / Learning Resource Center serves its students and faculty free of charge. The library has thousands of hard copy materials in its collections. Both students and faculty also have access to AIU’s e-library. Students are expected to follow the university library policy while using these resources.

AIU students have convenient access to a number of excellent libraries including San Jose State University (SJSU) and Cal State University East Bay (CSUEB). Students can also obtain free library cards from the Alameda County and Santa Clara County public library system, and make use of the Link+ unified catalog system as well.
